February is upon us and the fishing is heating up, but not the weather. We are looking forward to a more standard, consistent weather pattern for the month of February. Wind in January was mostly out of the south which caused rough seas for most of the month. We are looking for the wind to stay out of the northeast for the month so the fish can follow the currents and bait to our back door. Water temperature is running about 72 degrees, so the wahoo should still be here. Dolphin are showing up in larger numbers and fairly nice size. Cero mackerel are around so that brings in the random marlin. Captain Daryl Miller of Underdog, with first mate Lyndon Mackey, released a 300 pound marlin caught on a large cedar plug recently. Anything can happen when fishing so remember safety first and tight lines all the time. South Eleuthera has spectacular deep sea fishing. Come discover what adventures await you in South Eleuthera.
