May’s great weather provides the perfect conditions on the flats of South Eleuthera for finding, hooking and landing huge numbers of bonefish. The winds are mild all month long, typical late spring, early summer weather. Later in the month, afternoon rain showers will become more prevalent providing the clear platform to best spot the darker bonefish found in South Eleuthera. The water temperature on the flats is nearly close to perfect. Not too warm and not too cold.
My secret spot for May is Ginger Creek. While not “fit to print,” when in south Eleuthera asking the right person with the right attitude and a friendly “fishing demeanor,” you might just have the greatest day of fishing in your entire career. If you want to ask me, I’ll be at Cape Eleuthera Resort!!!
