The Tampa Bay bite has been great this winter and looking forward to the spring bite. The bait is plentiful at the Skyway and some markers.
With the weather not getting too cold this winter the Snook were staged in their transition locations. We’re fishing around the mouth of the river and docks with good tidal movement and structure using white bait.
Redfish schools are starting to show up in little pods throughout the bay. With spring coming up bigger schools will start showing up on the flats. Live shrimp has been the bait of choice.
The Trout bite has been on and off this season with nice slots up to 20”. Not many Gator Trout have been reported this season.
Don’t miss out on the spring bite, I have a feeling it’s going to be a feeding frenzy.
