The “Savannah Boys” Great Harbour Cay Tournament Wrap Up

This year ‘The Savannah Boys’ at Great Harbour Cay played host to twenty-one boats, and more than one hundred fifty anglers and tournament guests February 23 through 26, 2012. For the third year in a row, the weather could not have been better; blue skies, 85 degrees, and a lot of Bahama sunshine. Moreover, better than half of the boats entered weighed in qualifying fish; wahoo, dolphin and tuna, at the end of the day.

  • 1st Place Boat: Oceans Alley – Anthony Provenzano – 3 / 114.4 lbs.
  • 2nd Place Boat: Ramblin Man – Steve Johnson – 3 / 96.4 lbs.
  • 3rd Place Boat: Becky Jay – Mike Fulford – 2 / 83.4 lbs.
  • 4th Place Boat: My Way – Sandy Dixon – 3 / 70.2 lbs.
  • 5th Place Boat: Maverick – Brian Harlander – 3 / 68.6 lbs.

True to the nature of our sport, the Third Annual Great Harbour Cay Wahoo Tournament raised $2,300.00 US for the R N Gomez All Age School in Bullocks Harbour/ Great Harbour Cay. Several boats donated money from their Calcutta winnings.
