At only 5 years old, my dad and grandfather took me fishing for the first time and I was hooked. I was lucky enough to grow up near Lake Ontario and many of its tributaries including the one that ran through my parents side yard. In 2008 at the age of 27 I decided it was time to share the knowledge I had gained in 22 years of fishing this area and started my guide business.
I have a true passion for teaching. I enjoy being a part of the experience whether it is catching your first fish, catching a certain species for the first time or learning a new technique.
When I started my guide business my goal was to be a well-rounded guide that offered something for everyone. Today I offer guided trips for everything from the mighty king salmon to brook trout to perch and sunfish. If it swims in the CNY region chances are I offer a trip for it. My guests have the option of fly, spin, or center pin fishing. I also offer trolling trips if you just want to sit back and relax. That is until the rod doubles over with a fish on the other end.
I offer fishing trips all year long either bank fishing or aboard my 2015 Pavati drift boat. I float the Salmon, Black, and Oswego Rivers all year for salmon, steelhead, brown trout, walleye and bass. I also use the drift boat in the Tug Hill region for trout and bass in the summer months. During the winter months ice fishing trips are available for perch and/or pike.
All equipment is provided with the exception of waders. They are not necessary for drift boat or summer trips, but many times are recommended. Good quality rods and reels are provided. If I wouldn’t fish with it, then I wouldn’t expect you to.
As I believe today’s youth needs to get outside and explore the great outdoors, I offer discounted “take a kid fishing” trips. These trips generally range from 2 to 6 hours to accommodate all levels of interest.
A 20% discount is offered for active duty military and 10% for local law enforcement.
Your fishing trip will be customized to meet your wants and needs. I will do everything in my power to not only put you on the fish but put the fish in your hands. I will do my best to make sure at the end of the day you are leaving having caught what you came to catch and/or learned what you came to learn.
