LAKE SEMINOLE FISHING REPORT: Dec 2013

lake seminole

The bass fishing is great on Lake Seminole right now! They’re really starting to feed up for the winter and are searching for some grub. Good lures of choice are X-Calibur One Knockers. We like the Foxy Shad and Pearl Melon colors. Other baits that are working well are X-Calibur Square Lips in Foxy Shad and Foxy Phantom. Try working these around the grass beds.

The crappie fishing is good too! We’ve seen a lot of them coming across the docks at Wingate’s Lunker Lodge. They have really started to turn on and are being taken on Minnows shed in 8 – 10 feet of water. Another thing that is working is a Yum F-2 Panfish Wooly Curltail in the color of Fire y around grass beds with a 1/16 – 1/8 oz. jig head using 6 lb. to 8 lb. Silver read Fluorocarbon fished slowly with a steady retrieve.
