We had staked out on the flat to change tackle before approaching a school of tailing redfish. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw tails and backs coming up to us right behind the boat. I tapped Brittany on the shoulder to make sure she saw the approaching fish. I soon realized it wasn’t several redfish but a single large one. Brittany made a fantastic cast that landed two feet in front of the red. The fish charged the lure so hard that I thought it was spooked. After a few minutes of drag peeling runs, Brittany brought a 29″ beauty alongside the boat. What a rush!
