March has been just as exciting as February, if not more. The wahoo have been in abundance and while hooking up has not been a problem, getting them into the boat has. So many anglers just don’t come prepared.

Check your lines, are they frayed, has your snap swivel seen better days? These two small items can mean getting that fish into the boat or losing it at the boat.

March has seen dolphin (dorado) show, a little north of Bimini. With the Bimini Big Game NFL Hall of Fame Billfish Tournament coming on April 24, now is the time to get in gear! Check out the Hall of Fame Bimini website for more information (www.HOFBimini.com).

Blue and white marlin, which run north, are beginning to show. What a better way to get your fishing team practicing for The Big Game Tournament. You can find Mr Bill, (Billfish) right off of Bimini, between Cat Cay and South Bimini, in 500 to 2500 feet of water. Use your fish finder, to find some peaks and you’ll find hook ups more often than not.

Dorado and yellowfin you will be able to locate in waters from 250 feet to about 500 feet. Signs of flying fish tell you that you’re in the right area.

The weather has cooperated and with this little Island in The Stream, it’s no wonder we hold some of the top world records.

Until next tide, always Chase Your Dreams!

Tight lines.
