Folly Beach Pier Fishing Report: Nov 2013

Judy with a beautiful black drum!

Gobble, gobble, gobble up all those fall fishies, but don’t be a turkey! Whether the weather allows it is another story entirely. November fishing revolves around the environment’s conditions, but when temperatures are warm, the fishing can prove to be hot!

Folly Pier typically sees drum, sea trout and sheepshead caught this month when weather is warm and there is semi-calm water in the shallow gullies below the pier. Shrimp is the standard for enticing these species. From two drop to Carolina rigs, bottom fishing is what works; however, don’t forget about the candy bait we label as crustaceans. Sand fleas and fiddlers will serenade the fish into a bite, as well. So come on out on a sunny day and enjoy the Folly Beach Fishing Pier.
