June is a big month for the Florida Sport Fishing Association. There are three big events coming. The first is the FSFA EXPO/Captains Party on June 7th at the Kiwanis Island gymnasium. Kiwanis Island is located on SR 520 in Merritt Island. The doors open at 5:00pm and it runs until about 9:00. There will be booths featuring varied types of vendors, food (Provided by Cabana Shores), beverages of choice and a series of raffles. It is also one of the places where you can register for the 45th Annual Offshore Slam. You can also register at STRIKE ZONE (192 in Melbourne), Sunrise Marina (Port Canaveral), and in the ramp area by Grill’s the morning of the tournament after 5:00am.

Full details are available on our website www.fsfaclub.org .

June 8th is the date for the tournament at Sunrise Marina. Please note that all fish to be weighed from entered boats MUST be unloaded at the fuel dock at Sunrise. No exceptions will be made in regard to this. $12,000.00 in guaranteed prizes and custom trophies will be awarded to the winners!

Then on June 25th the featured speaker at our membership meeting located at the Veterans Memorial Center in Merritt Island will be offshore legend Capt. Norm Isaacs. This will be a great experience for all who attend. Doors open at 6:45. Please join us for this event. This event is open to the public, and food/beverages will be available for donations.

This year marks the 19th consecutive year that the FSFA proudly will participate in the “Kid’s Fishing Clinic” at Port Canaveral. This event is put on by the FWC, the Port Authority, and a number of local vendors. This is the big one! You can find more information about this event on our website under ‘events’. If you would like to help out on this you can send an email to: FSFA@cfl.rr.com. We can’t do what we do without YOU.
