[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ay is here again, and we know that May is a great month for fishing since many of the fish are in schools to spawn. And it appears as though most of them will stay in the schools throughout the summer months.

We are seeing large schools of bonefish, barracudas and mutton snappers on the flats and in the channels here in East Grand Bahama. This is a great time for those people who want to learn how to bonefish because the opportunities of getting a fish are endless. And, for those who just like to catch fish, well fish on like we fishing guides say “fish on.”

There are some people who don’t like to fish large schools of bonefish. They prefer to fish singles and doubles, or smaller groups of fish. Finding the singles around here this time of year is not easy, but I have good news, we are having some good shots at permits so it doesn’t have to be all about bones. The flats, reef and channels are hot this time of the year these are fishing times. Let’s go fishing!
