Folks, Lake Seminole is on FIRE! March and April are great months on this lake because the bass are starting to bed and are hungry. There have been some monsters caught recently using a few different types of baits. First, I want to tell you about a color that I helped design called Seminole Breeze. It’s produced by Profound Outdoors in their Azuma Series and they are using it on three different baits. First is the Shaker Z, it’s a lipless crank bait and has already been proven to be a winner on Seminole. Second is the Knock Knock, another lipless crank that has a unique sound and has also caught some big ones for me. Third is the Z-Boss 10, it’s a diving crank bait and has proven to be something the big bass want! You can fish any of these along the grass lines on the flats in the lake. For more on this line of baits see http://www.profoundoutdoors.com. Another productive technique has been working a Strike King Ocho in green pumpkin fished slow along the inside grass lines.

Seminole is not only on fire for bass, but the crappie like the conditions right now too. They’re bedding and are being caught with jigs and minnows in 8’ to 10’ of water. We’ve been seeing some big ones coming across the docks at Wingate’s and are anticipating some good fish fries in our future!
