The bass fishing on Lake Seminole has been incredible! Numerous customers have caught their personal best! Historically, Seminole has been known for it’s extraordinary top-water bites. These bass explode out of the water after frogs and buzz-baits! If you’re planning a trip in May, make sure you have plenty of top-water lures in your tackle box. Some of my favorites are the Strike King KVD Sexy Frog in the Leopard color, the Strike King Pro-model Buzz Bait in Chartreuse and White and the Strike King Sexy Dawg in Bone.

When fishing the Strike King KVD Sexy Frog, use a heavy-action rod and a fast gear-ratio reel with 65 pound test Cortland Master Braid. You’ll need this combination to fish over and through the vegetation and to pull those giant bass out of the heavy cover.

When fishing the Strike King Pro-model Buzz Bait, I use a 7 foot medium-heavy rod and a fast gear-ratio reel with 30 pound Cartland Master Braid. I find that this combination works well for locating productive areas efficiently.

When fishing the Strike King Sexy Dawg, I cover the areas where I’ve already had success with the buzz bait again and due to the Sexy Dawg’s incredible walking action and unique sound pulling the Bass to it, I’ve had a lot of success with this technique.

The bream and shellcracker have been bedding and we’ve had some incredible family trips catching their limits.
