Great Harbour Cay Marina in the Berry Islands held its 2nd annual Great Harbour Cay Wahoo Invitational the weekend of February 18. Sixteen boats and over 120 people, comprised of island locals, second homeowners and guests from around the world, participated in the one-day tournament.
Friday was a “warm-up” fishing day, followed by all-day fishing on Saturday.
The tournament has roots to a group of Savannah, Georgia anglers who have come to call Great Harbour Cay home.
Tournament winners: 1st – Mojito, Stan Strickland-112 pounds; 2nd – Sandollar, Eddie Kaye-66 pounds; and 3rd – Southern Accent, Ferrel Morris-47 pounds.
