MOBILE BAY/DELTA

The fishing has been great here in the delta. There have been a lot of fish taken way up river all the way to Dead Lake. All species have been biting: reds, specks, flounder, and bass. There has been pressure on the fish, so I’m going to tell you how to load the boat with fish and get away from the flotilla of boats that are now on the water. May 29th, 2011

DAUPHIN ISLAND/MOBILE BAY

Merry Christmas Anglers! The fishing is still good.  If the weather gets cold, the fish will be in deeper water and deep holes. If the weather stays mild, (warm: 65 degree days / 45degree nights), the fish will continue on the pattern they are on now, being every place they can be ambushing food.  Mouths of rivers, flats with current, and hard bottom they seem to be feeding on everything, but they want something different. So just keep trying everything.May 29th, 2011

MOBILE BAY / DELTA

With the constant cold fronts moving in and the colder temps, it can only signal one thing, the arrival of the trout in the rivers. The action has been non-stop. We have been working 1/4 ounce mojo jig heads under popping corks from NO-SLACK TACKLE with a 24" leader around the points and under birds for hungry trout. May 6th, 2011
