Beach fishing can be very good as these cooler temperatures approach. We will have migratory fish starting to show up as these cool fronts push down the coast. Beach fishing for pompano, bluefish, mackerel and the other species will be some of the fish that are coming down the coast. Fishing inshore here in Stuart, we have been catching some tarpon and snook back in the St. Lucie River west of the Roosevelt Bridge and up in the North Fork. Pompano are showing up for surf casting from the beach and near the inlet to fish from boat with sandfleas and jigs. Its also a good time to start cruising the flats for any “skipping” pompano.Giles MurphyOct 27th, 2020
Deep sea bottom fishing strategies off of Stuart will rule these days, as many species of snapper will have solidly populated the reefs from 50 to 150 feet of water. Lane snapper will be the most abundant.Capt. Rocky CarbiaOct 27th, 2020
Mahi, sails, blackfin, wahoo and kings are in the house this month and each front will push more and more fish down as the water cools. Capt. Scott FawcettOct 27th, 2020
Fort Pierce's inshore fishing should be improving in November as the cold fronts arrive. Look for good action in the Fort Pierce Inlet--bluefish, Spanish mackerel and lots of big jacks feeding on the bait schoolsCapt. Joe WardOct 27th, 2020
Grouper fishing will be excellent as the cooler water will turn these grumpy guys frisky. Both mackerel and mahi will also be on the scene. Bottom fishing will continue to be the main focus. Treasure CoastOct 27th, 2020
The pompano are beginning to return to the river and will be a favorite target for anglers throughout the winter. Redfish can be found around docks and mangroves with D.O.A. shrimp or live bait. Look for mackerel, bluefish and jacks to fill up the inlet this month. Capt. Charlie ConnerOct 27th, 2020
