He worked out of his bedroom using hair clipped from the family dog and feathers from backyard chickens. Bedell began selling his handmade creations to local tackle shops as well as visiting anglers. As a result Berkley Fly, Co. was founded and took off in a way that young Berkley never could have imagined.
