[dropcap]C[/dropcap]old weather will move in and warm water fish with start to fatten up for the winter. Snook will be feeding on the schools of mullet under bridges, catwalks and docks. Night time will be the best just under the shadow line. Beaches will still hold big snook—you’ll just find them more at the mouth of inlets. Best places to go will be Stuart bridge east side, Jensen Beach causeway east side and the Roosevelt Bridge. Fish the tides as long as the water is moving and you should get a bite. Tarpon will be around until the water temperature drops to cold. Tarpon fishing will be hot along the beaches. Seeing a 100-pound fish jump out of the water is a sight to see. Look for the pods of bait and fish just outside of the school of bait. Make sure you have the right gear for them; these fish are big. Best places are Jensen Beach north, Stuart Beach south, Hobe Sound Beach, Tiger Shores, Walton Rocks and Tiger Shores. Big gator trout will be feeding on mullet, so make sure you catch some. Put them under a cork and hold on. Cold fronts and afternoon thunderstorms will turn the bite on. Walton Road wading can’t be beat and Middle Cove is a good place to get some big trout. As cold weather comes in and water temperatures drop, pompano will start showing up in numbers. Bring out the big rods and start catching. Tight lines.
