Jillian caught this 8.15 lbs. Large Mouth Bass in Rockledge, Florida.
My sons Max (10) and Sam (8) asked me to share their most recent pictures with you of their 9 lb.- 24 in. BASS & 4.5 lb. – 18 inch Tilapia. BASS, caught on STAR RODS. They used a SHIMANO 4000 reel with 12 lb. test for the 9 lb. BASS, watermelon worm, Eagle Claw bass hook size 1, and 2 weights. For the 6 lb. BASS they used the same type of rod, but it was a Sahara 4000 reel with 10 lb. test, and a golden spoon. For the tilapia they catch they usually use bread balls. We fish all over Florida, but one of our favorite places that we found is our own backyard. Our lake is fed by the St. John River and my boys catch (on a regular basis) 3+ lb. tilapia, 6+ lb. bass, crappy, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, and more.
