My Fishing Adventures

Comb jellyfish in a bowl.

Hello anglers, I hope you all have been doing well and catching a bunch of fish! Unfortunately, I have not been fishing much lately. This is due to us still not having a boat to fish in. However, the Nortech 392 Superfish is just about finished, and we could not be more excited!! This boat is super-fast, and I doubt my dad will ever even get close to hitting top speed, however if I drive the boat, it might be a different story. I am so excited to do shotgun start tournaments in this boat so we can just take off and fly by the competition! The hull on the Superfish is so thick, it would really take a lot to damage this boat. The fishability on it is amazing too. It is open, fast, has more hatches and fish boxes that anyone could ever ask for, a comfortable seating arrangement, and a smooth and sleek design. We went with a dark grey color scheme on the wrap, and it includes a storm with a bunch of frigate birds on it. It looks sick! While we are waiting for the boat, my mom and I, and my friend and her family, went to the bioluminescent kayak tours in Cocoa Beach. This is a tour where you bring a kayak to a lagoon at night and the water is bioluminescent. There are comb jellyfish and krill-like creatures in the water that causes this called dinoflagellates. They react to movements by lighting up and certain times of the year there is enough to see them visible glowing. We took the tour with a company called Fin Expeditions and our tour guide, Ian, took us out. It was by far one of the coolest experiences ever. We netted glowing jellyfish in the water and had an amazing night. By my next article we should have fished the Superfish, and I look forward to giving you all an update on the boat!
