Nassau/New Providence Inshore Forecast

When Nassau or New Providence are mentioned as destinations, fly fishing and general fishing activities are not generally mentioned in the same sentence. That is of course, not until the backing is peeling off your reel. Then we jokingly say, “There ain’t no bones in Nassau”. If you are planning to come to Nassau for a vacation or for business and want a great day of great bonefishing, May is one of the best months to do so. The air and water temperatures are perfect, the wind is generally calm and frankly the fish are happy! Despite the deep water that surrounds Nassau, you will be surprised at the quality of bonefishing Nassau has to offer. Typically at this time of year the fish will average in the four-to-five pound range. An added bonus in May is that permit will start to show. So, when considering your next flats fishing trip, consider Nassau. We have much more than just beach, diving, gambling and fun—we also have world-class fishing!
