November for us is a mild, warm month. The water is still in the low 80’s and the air can easily average in the low 90’s. Sunny, clear skies are the norm. We are getting closer to the dryer winter months, so it is very unlikely rain storms and thunderstorms will interfere with your dive.

The beginning of November is typically not busy. The water clarity improves even more during this time of the year allowing divers to enjoy 100 foot-plus visibility.

During November, dive sites are rich in many species of grouper, shark and rays, in addition to the regular colorful reef fish. There is rarely one dive in which one of these big animals does not show up. A special treat is around the Shark Junction area. Here, resident grouper, sharks and eels share a very close habitat and many times are in close proximity to the divers. Not shy, these creature enjoy “posing” for divers creating many “Kodak” moments.

Grand Bahama offers a great venue for a Thanksgiving holiday. Come on down and enjoy our underwater world and our world-famous Bahamian hospitality!
