[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he fishing out of Wingate’s Lunker Lodge on Lake Seminole has been awesome! Lake Seminole is on fire right now for both bass and stripers because they are feeding and fattening up on shad, and getting ready for the winter. I have found that fishing the edges of flats with XCalibur Rattle Baits in Royal Red and Foxy Momma to be very successful for bass fishing.  Those baits mimic shad very well and allow you to cover a lot of water efficiently. Stripers are easy to find if you have some good electronics. I’ve discovered that if I go to where I see diving sea gulls and look on my Lowrance HDS Structure Scan, if they are there, I’ll see them. I use a Yum YUMbrella Flash Mob loaded with Yum 5” Pearl Black Back Money Minnows on ¼ oz. jigheads.  It’s something you have to get used to casting, but once you get that down, cast it out and reel it back in real slow. It’s almost guaranteed to catch some Bigguns!

This past weekend, the Hydrilla Gnats Bass Classic was won by Joe Cleary, aka Jerkbait Joe and Billy Roton of Recovery, GA with 18 ½ lbs.  This was Jerkbait Joe’s 5th year in a row of winning this tournament.  For current fishing information, please feel free to email me at paultyrefishing@yahoo.com.
