[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ishing for Channel cats has been great lately. The water level is dropping now, and the fish are being drawn out of the woods. Bream fishing has gone off the chain!!! To the stringers, best is on worms and crickets and both baits are a tossup. And yes, the ole time favorite Bea Bea Bugs- Bream Bugs has been doing super too in West Arm, Dead Lakes, Game Warden Shack, and Barge. But be sure to check out your favorite spots, because I’m sure they’re biting there too! That’s how hot the bite is right now. The Bridge (Ole Dam) on Lake
Grove Road- fishing from the bridge or bank has produced good catches of fish. Bass fishing has been getting better too as the nights begin to cool.

I’ve seen pictures of a 9 pounder Largemouth bass caught and released by a local angler. He had 3 smaller bass also that he caught and released. I heard that 3 or 4 more people had caught several small bass in the mouths of the creeks on small crank baits, and plastic worms. Any color that has black in it is the key! Good luck on the water!

When your line gets tight, set the hook! Take a kid fishing and make their day! The smiles are priceless!
