Backcountry Fishing Association June 2016 Tournament Results

Fishing out of Little Jim’s in Fort Pierce, 15 teams found plenty of redfish and trout to weigh-in at the Backcountry Fishing Association’s June tournament of the 2016 season.

Josh Partin and Donnie Gribble, of Vero Beach, won the event and $262.50 for their 4.57-pound redfish and 2.51-pound trout for a combined weight of 7.08 pounds. Jason Kittendorf and Rod Wilson, of Vero Beach, placed second and earned $157.50 for their 5.38-pound trout. Zack Brady, of Port St. Lucie, and Joey Gibson, of Stuart, took third and a cash prize of $105.00 for a 3.86-pound redfish.

As of the June 2016 tournament, in first place, for the 10-month tournament circuit, with 21 points are Josh Partin and Donnie Gribble; second place with 17 points, Eddie Hess and Glenn Kusmerz; and third place with 16 points, Matt Schorner and Jeff Schorner.

The next tournament takes place on July 2, 2016 out of Little Jim Bridge Bait and Tackle in Fort Pierce.
